This Itty Bitty Kansas City Is Actually One Of The Best Antiquing Towns In The Country

It's that time of year when spring cleaning starts moving through our homes, and we start to get rid of things we no longer want or need. However, with spring cleaning comes thrifting and antiquing, two things that bring more back into our homes to fill those empty places. This is one of the best antiquing towns out there, and you'll want to check each store for yourself.

Today, we're headed to Abilene, Kansas, where the antiquing scene is always flourishing, and you can find one everywhere you look.

We've got six main places in mind, but who knows what will show up during garage sale season. It could be a goldmine!

1. Downtown Antique Mall (brown building) - 313 N Buckeye Ave.

What sounds better than an antique mall? Of course, this is one of the hottest spots in town to check out your favorite old and repurposed goods. That's why we have to start here. Everything else is just a bonus!

2. Mud Creek Malls (red building) - 319 N Buckeye Ave.

On the other side of this building is a sister store, named Mud Creek Antique. It's almost impossible to only visit one, because they share a building as well as that small town service we all love. Plus, who wouldn't want to sift through more antiques?

3. Buckeye Antiques - 310 N Buckeye Ave.

Across the street from the beautiful antique mall is yet another place to find the item of your dreams. We mentioned sifting through antiques, and this building is definitely packed with treasures. If you like digging, this is the shop for you.

4. Cedar Street Market - 300 NW Cedar St.

Cedar Street Market is a little more on the decoration side than furniture and dishes, which we appreciate. There seems to be an antique store of every kind here in town, which makes it perfect for adding all the finishing touches to your home. Whether that means a new lamp or a sign over your door, you might find it here.

5. Countrypolitan - 317 N Broadway St.

If you like country style decor and knick knacks of all sorts, check out Countrypolitan as well! They have a little bit of everything, and that's what we love best.

6. Yesterday's Rose Antique Mall - 101 NE 21st St.

To finish things off, Yesterday's Rose is another antique store stacked with possibilities. You never know what you're going to find in this town, but we know for sure that visiting each one of them will make you feel like you know this town a little more than before.
