Welcome to Pretty Boy Floyd's, a mostly underground restaurant named after the infamous 1930s bank robber.
Pretty Boy Floyd was a man hit hard by the Great Depression who found his way to a life of crime in the Southwest and Midwest areas of the U.S., robbing banks and other shops from the age of 18, back in 1925.
If you have been looking for something a little more special than your local diner, it's been hiding here the whole time. The steaks are amazing here, and any of their other dishes (like the chicken fried or the pasta) are equally delicious.
Despite being named after a bank robber and being mostly underground, the staff is Kansas heartland friendly and you'll find that you feel just like family after your first visit. They might not be a secret club, but after a few visits you feel like you're part of something special.
Sort of like a speakeasy, Pretty Boy Floyd's is only open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. It's by no means exclusive, but limited hours make it feel that way. Have no worries! come in anytime and find a seat among friends.
You’ll find this not-so-secret speakeasy steakhouse at 210 N Douglas Ave, Ellsworth, Kansas.
Kansas has a lot of great restaurants that look and feel more than your standard small town restaurant, but if you like Pretty Boy Flody’s, you’ll love this one in Hoxie that’s just as charming.
