Glamping: Have you ever heard of it? If you haven’t, it is defined as "glamorous camping" (get it?) and consists of enjoying the great outdoors via luxurious accommodations. If you know me in real life, you know that the closest I'll get to "roughing it" in the great outdoors is at our family cabin (that has both indoor plumbing and electricity), so glamping is right up my alley. This pretty lake near Cottonwood Falls is not only a great place for stunning hikes it is one of the best campgrounds in KS. The ground is rocky in some areas, but it's not too hard to find a decent spot for the night or up to two weeks! Find fishing piers as well as a boat ramp for folks who enjoy a waterfall from a dam. Camping is allowed anywhere on the North side of the lake, so take your pick!
Cowley Lake also has a fantastic waterfall that only enhances the local beauty of this fishing lake. Five sites are available where you can camp with a tent or an RV up to 25 feet long. You can also stay for up to two weeks here! Sounds like a great vacation to me!
Neosho Lake is a great place for fishing and boating, and the campsites are at the lake as well as the SWA in Saint Paul.
