These 11 Sushi Restaurants In Kansas Will Make Your Taste Buds Explode
Do you consider yourself to be somewhat of a sushi connoisseur? Me too! Lucky for us, there is no need to travel far to get our fix. In fact, landlocked Kansas is home to several stellar options, including:
1. Sake2me (Hays)
I cannot profess my love of Sake2me enough. The rolls are both unique and flavorful, and the industrial-chic building is nothing short of fabulous.
2. W A Restaurant (Lawrence)
Lawrence, Kansas: Home to the Jayhawks, Clinton Lake, and some of the best sushi you will ever taste.
3. Kanai Sushi (Wichita)
Japan native Chef Kanai knows a thing or two about sushi; so much so, in fact, that he was able to train at a young age with some of the best in the business. (Trust us; it shows.)
4. Kyoto Sushi & Steak (Overland Park)
Happy Hour isn't just for cheap drinks. You can score some of your favorite Kyoto rolls for a fraction of the price every weekday from 2:30-6pm.
5. Daimaru Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi (Salina)
One of my husband's and my first dates was to Daimaru, and I must say that both the hibachi meals and sushi were great. It's more than five years later and the location, selection, and rolls are better than ever.
6. Shangri-La Sushi & Teriyaki (Emporia)
There's a reason for Shangri-La's popularity among both Emporia State students and locals alike. (Hint: It's their incredible variety and affordable prices.)
7. Ninja Sushi and Steakhouse (Garden City)
Dine like a ninja at Western Kansas's first choice for large portions, wonderful tastes, and an overall great value.
8. Sushi UNI (Lenexa)
Lenexa residents: Want sushi, but don't want to leave the comfort of your home? Sushi UNI gets it and offers DELIVERY to homes and businesses within a 2-mile radius. All of my wildest sushi dreams are finally coming true...
9. Kyoto (Topeka)
Kyoto (not to be confused with Kyoto Sushi & Steak in OP) is the capital city's first choice when it comes to not only savory Japanese dishes, but yummy sushi rolls as well.
10. Beijing Bistro (El Dorado)
For two generations, the Chen family has been serving an impressive menu and ambiance to the El Dorado, Wichita, and Augusta communities.
11. Ichiban (Lansing)
Memorable sushi, hibachi, and Bento boxes can be found at this new(ish) Kansas City establishment.
