This Colorful Cafe In Iowa Serves Simply Amazing Food

The East Village of Des Moines is one of the most historic and diverse districts in the state. There are so many restaurants, cafes, historic buildings and shops lining the streets that you’ll always be able to find something to do! One particular cafe is bright, colorful and serves up the most tasty Lebanese food – if you’ve never visited, you’ve got to put this on your list for 2018!

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

Open Sesame Cafe is open Tuesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner service, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, and 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. While you’re in the East Village, you’ll want to visit many of the historic buildings in the area! After all, the history and culture of the neighborhood made it one of the Top Historic Neighborhoods in All of Iowa.
