Take A Fall Trail Ride On Horseback At Cedar Valley Stables In Iowa
Looking for multiple ways to enjoy fall? Crunching leaves in the park, getting a view of a golden river valley, and driving scenic routes are things that make memories and bring beauty to life in this magical, colorful season. If you also want to add a bit of adventure and test your balance, try introducing horseback riding to your fall fun!
Cedar Valley Stables in Eastern Central Iowa has horses, trails, and guides ready to allow you to enjoy an hour-long trail ride this fall.
Being carried on the back of a strong and experienced animal allows you to experience the smells and sounds of fall that are so often lost in the business of life and modern travel.
Trail rides are typically available through mid-November, weather depending. Reservations are required and can be made as late as the same day; however, there isn’t a guarantee there will be a time slot available for same day booking.
Riding hours are from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and are for 8-year-olds to 80-plus-year-olds! A cowboy hat is not required, but it is a good idea to wear jeans or long pants and close toed shoes. The cost for the hour of adventure is $45.
So bring yourself and a can-do attitude! Being on a horse isn’t like riding in a car, and a decent sense of balance is required for this adventure to be enjoyable. If you come with a group, the ranch hands will carefully match riders with the horses. You will find out that each horse is well cared for and has a personality of its own.
