Get Up Close And Personal With Wolves At Wolf Creek Habitat In Indiana
Wolves are fascinating creatures… but you’re about as likely to encounter one in the wild as you are a UFO. Luckily, there’s a fantastic wolf sanctuary located in Bookville that will make you feel like part of the wolf pack. If you’ve never been to Wolf Creek Habitat, check it out as soon as you can.
Wolf Creek Habitat is an incredible not-for-profit facility located in Brookville.
Although available dates and times vary, the habitat is open all year. Currently, you can see the wolves on Saturdays and Sundays.
This place takes in human-raised wolves, meaning they're all pretty tame.
In fact, most of these wolves love human interaction.
The facility closes when temperatures hit freezing levels, so you may want to call before you go.
That being said, you're not required to make a reservation before you visit.
You can observe the wolves from the deck for free -- but if you want some up-close-and-personal time with them, you'll need to make a $50 donation per person.
The money goes toward feeding, sheltering, and caring for these majestic creatures.
All ages are welcome at Wolf Creek Habitat, although children must be at least 60 inches to have close-up interaction with the wolves.
Your donation gets you plenty of time with the wolves and insight into how they live.
There's a pretty specific dress code here, so make sure you ask the team if anything has changed recently.
You'll probably be asked to wear long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toed shoes. The wolves will want to see your eyes, so leave your sunglasses behind -- and if you wear your hair in a ponytail o a braid, the wolves will take it out.
Visiting the wolf habitat it a total once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Although you're not allowed to bring much into the wolf habitat, you can definitely take your cell phone and get some great photos.
