12 Things People From Indiana Always Have To Explain To Out Of Towners
Hoosiers are aware that there are plenty of stereotypes about us out there. When out of towners come to visit, they always need a few things explained to them. Here’s a short list of some of the things you’re probably tired of explaining to out of towners.

Yes, we're proud of our farms and local food sources, but that doesn't mean we all live on one.

The stories may all vary but we are Hoosiers and we take our title very seriously.

I mean, some of us are, but we're not all die-hard sports fans.

Sure, we're proud to have it hosted here, but we're not all watching.

Sure, some of our well known foods, like the pork tenderloin, are fried, but remember all that local farm fresh food we're known for? Yeah, many of us like to eat that, too.

And this isn't even our largest city!

This is the Indiana Dunes. Prepare to be thoroughly wowed.

Ever heard of the University of Notre Dame, Butler University, or Purdue University? Yup, all located here.

One second it's slightly breezy and sunny and the next you'll find yourself snowed in for days. Layers are your friend.

We're not sure why this game didn't catch on elsewhere, but get ready to play a whole lot of it!

It's illegal, in fact. Didn't you stock up on Saturday?

Look, we'll let it slide a couple times, but in most of Indiana you don't say soda...you say pop.
