Indiana is definitely one of the best states in the U.S. to call home, and any state this wonderful is bound to rub off on you. Whether you were born here or simply hang your hat here now, here are 9 undeniable habits that no Hoosier ever truly unlearns.
You'll rarely hear it called soda here. We often refer to soft drinks as pop, but in southern Indiana, calling all soft drinks Coke is pretty common.
Here in the Hoosier state, farm-to-table is simply a delicious way of life. We expect stores and restaurants to serve up the freshest produce and meats and can't understand why other states don't expect the same.

Around most of the country, we know they're called sneakers, but Hoosiers tend to refer to this footwear as tennis shoes. And no, we don't think you play tennis if you wear them.

If the forecast says to expect fair temperatures in the 50s, we're prepared for rain, snow, sleet, and even a surprise warm front. You never know what you're going to get in the Hoosier state (even in the same day!).
We may not be located along an ocean, but don't think we don't have beaches. And with stunning bodies of water like Lake Michigan, we have a better "beach" than most states.
We grew up playing euchre and as a result, we're pretty awesome at it. Don't know what euchre is? Don't worry, we'll show you.
It may just be an Indiana thing, but we tend do this a lot. For instance, "I'm running out. Want to come with?"

It could be on the street, it could be in the grocery store, or it might be while standing in line ordering food, but we sure do love to chat with new people!
