This Awesome Yarn Shop In Indiana Is A Dream Come True

One of the oldest pastimes in the world is sewing. It’s easy to see why it’s so beloved: it’s fun, feels amazingly productive, and who doesn’t love having things they made by hand around (knit hats are my weakness)? Well, I found this super-awesome yarn barn in Indiana that doesn’t look like much from the outside, but on the inside, it’s one of the best places you can go as a knitting and/or sewing enthusiast. Meander out to the small town of Aurora, Indiana, and check it out – there’s a reason it’s one of the favorites around here!
If you were to go through the reviews for Distinctive Knits without ever visiting, you'd notice a few things:
First, the customer service is impeccable. The staff - especially the owner - is knowledgeable, kind, and 200% willing to help solve any problems you might have.
Sewing machine on the fritz? No worries. Need a specific type of yarn? No problem.
The selection is incredible, and it's very well-organized; I'm pretty sure there's nothing within reason that you won't find here - and if you don't, the folks here will be happy to help you find it or even order it for you.
Whether your thing is sewing, machine knitting, machine sewing, traditional hand-knitting, clothing creation, or anything else, you'll find you're in heaven here.
Even the smell of the place is awesome; it's that smell that hardcore sewing and knitting enthusiasts are fond of. It's the smell of brand-new yarn, brand-new thread, brand-new fat quarters... all of it is almost overwhelming.
But take your time and relax - and maybe try not to leave with 500 new things to go play with at home.
....I mean, or you can totally do that. I'm not here to judge, I'm just here to tell you how awesome this place is for those of us who love the vast, cozy world of sewology.
So, seriously - all jokes aside - this place is absolutely wonderful. Even if you're not into these particular ancient art forms, I strongly feel like you'll still find something you love while you're here - so come check it out!
