When it comes to nature in Indiana, there’s no shortage of it. However, our natural environment looks rather different than other U.S. landscapes… particularly if you look underground. You see, there are a number of underground caves in Indiana, and several are open to the public. One of the most magnificent caverns to visit is the Bluespring Caverns, a karst cave system with over 21 miles of explored passages. About three miles of its underground river is able to be traversed, and visitors are welcome to do so on a 17-passenger boat.
