Hidden away in a little grocery store on Oliver Avenue in Indianapolis is a spot that’s sure to scratch the itch should you ever itch for excellent Mexican food. Being a fan of Mexican food in the Midwest is hard. We can’t just gallivant on over to Arizona if we want the good stuff, we have to find it here – and that’s where Carniceria Guanajuato comes in. This is one of those places that's criminally easy to accidentally pass up, never even realizing what it was that you were missing.

Seriously, come here for the groceries - you'll find all kinds of international foods, spices, and more - but stay for lunch, because this little hole-in-the-wall is amazing.

The meats are flavorful and the rice and beans are perfectly prepared. The dishes are as colorful as they are filled with flavor, but there's one dish in particular that really stands out: the tacos.
