In business since 2009, Sharp's Crossing is a U-Pick wonderland of purple fields and fabulous smells. This little-known oasis is a local treasure that is quintessential to summer.
The farm spans exactly 92 acres of prairie land in central Illinois and is open seasonally beginning around the stare of June. Though it has been a lavender grower for 10 years, it has been in the family for 100.
Each summer, the farm hosts a Lavender Festival that consists of themed food and drinks as well as demonstrations. This year's event will take place June 14-17, 2019 and last between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day.
Though the event typically features a U-Pick lavender attraction, this year's fest will go on without the activity as the recent harsh winter
