Known officially as the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation Boise Whitewater Park, this Boise whitewater park isn't for the faint of heart. It's where you can enjoy an adrenaline rush and spend some time on the water.
Today, the park contains mechanized waves, drop structures, and a variety of boulders that create smaller "play waves." There are also additional seating and viewing areas for hanging out, plus a park plaza.
There are features in the park for all skill levels of kayakers and surfers. The smaller, more natural waves are ideal for beginners and a great place to start when familiarizing yourself with the park.

The "official" launch destination can be found in Barber Park, which also boasts equipment rentals and shuttle services. Here, you'll set off on the river and float the scenic six miles downstream to Ann Morrison Park, all while taking in the river's glorious scenery.
