Why purchase your family pumpkin from the grocery store when you can easily go to a real farm and pick your own? The Berry Ranch in Nampa is home to an awesome u-pick pumpkin patch with plenty of pumpkins ripe for the picking.
This year, the farm's pumpkin patch will be open from September 30 through October 31. During this time, visitors can take a hayride to the patch and pick out their very own pumpkin. Much better than going to the store, don't you think?
Rides will be given to the pumpkin patch Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The price for the hayride varies between $4.50 to $10.50 depending on your age and whether you'll be taking home a pumpkin.
Social distancing precautions will be in place this year and there will be adequate space on the hayride trailer to maintain safe distances from other groups. This way, we can participate in our favorite fall traditions while staying safe and healthy!
If you don't feel like going all the way out to the patch or simply don't have much time, you can always purchase a pumpkin directly from the farm store. These pre-picked pumpkins are $4 for small, $6 for medium, $8 for large, $12 for extra-large, and $16 for super-extra-large.
It's hard to beat an authentic farm experience like this one. Pumpkins may be the highlight of your visit, but there are all sorts of farm-fresh goodies you can take home. Inside the farm store are forage-fed meats, honey, jams, and syrups.
The pumpkin-picking season always flies by super fast, so start planning your visit to The Berry Ranch. These pumpkins won't pick themselves! Learn more about the farm and its pick-your-own pumpkin patch at The Berry Ranch website.
