Welcome to Durfee Hot Springs! Small but charming, this little hot spring boasts an outdoor geothermal pool surrounded by beautiful southern Idaho scenery.
It may look pretty unassuming, but this hot springs has been in operation for four generations of the Durfee family. It began as a public pool back in the 1920s before it was remodeled and reopened in 2005.
Located right next to incredible destinations like City of Rocks National Reserve and Castle Rocks State Park, the hot springs makes for an excellent stopover for travelers in the area for adventure. After all, nothing beats a hot soak after a long hike!
Today, Durfee Hot Springs consists of a natural warm spring with two hot tubs, a kiddie pool, and one large lap pool. The water bubbles up from a spring in the surrounding meadow and maintains a temperature of about 104 degrees.
Soaking in the naturally warm waters is relaxation at its finest, and it's a popular activity no matter what season it is. Winter or summer, rain or shine, a long and hot soak at the end of the day is always welcome.
The facility is pretty bare-bones, but guests have access to the changing areas, bathrooms, and outdoor shower. There is also a small store on the property where you can purchases snacks, beverages, and souvenirs.
