One Of The Most Unique Towns In America, Pa’ia Is Perfect For A Day Trip In Hawaii

There are some incredible places to visit on all of the islands, but this unique town in Hawaii located on the gorgeous island of Maui is one of our top favorites. In fact, it’s one of Esquire’s, too. Named one of the Charming American Towns You Haven’t Heard of But Should Visit ASAP, we agree: Pa’ia is a perfect place to go when you want some serious beach charm!

If you’re thinking of spending some time relaxing in a small town, look no further than Pa’ia, Maui.

This little town is saturated in color and art. Arriving in downtown Pa’ia is like stepping back in time: the picturesque old-fashioned shops and buildings line the streets of this adorable historic town.

You’ll find colorful artwork, fun graffiti, and more. Explore the shops filled with locally made beads, visit the Maui Crafts Guild, and head to Maui Hands Maui Art Galleries for your fill on the beautiful artwork made on the island.
Located on Maui’s North Shore, there’s plenty to do for those looking for a little adventure.

Take a helicopter ride, learn to surf, or stand up paddle. Freedive Hawaii will even take you out free diving, where you can experience the world beneath the waves.
While you’re in Pa’ia, consider visiting the Maui Dharma Center, a Tibetan Buddhist Church founded in 1974.

This stunning spot is home to the resident Lama and offers guest rooms, programs in Tibetan art and culture, and even classes in the Tibetan language. It is a serene spot filled with wonderful artwork and worth a look if you’re nearby.
