I’ve seen some strange things in my day, but none as strange as these! Here are 10 weird things that have happened in Georgia!

1. Man Shoots Armadillo and Accidentally Shoots his Mother-in-Law
Larry McElroy of Lee County, Georgia shot at an armadillo and the bullet ricocheted off of the animal into the back door of his mother-in-law's home and right into her back! Good news, the 74 year-old woman was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.
2. Drunk Driver Hands Officer a Beer
Damon Exum crashed his car into a patrol car in Dunwoody, Georgia. After officers chase down and stop Exum's vehicle, they asked for his driver's license, and instead of his licesne he hands them a beer!
3. Man Wearing only a Cowboy Hat Breaks into Georgia Homes
21 year old Ashdon Gibbs was caught running around in nothing but his birthday suit and a cowboy hat! He has about a dozen charges--breaking into homes, impersonating a police officer, and of course, indecent exposure!
4. Bank Accidentally Deposits 31K in Teen's Bank Account and Wants Him to Return it
It's every kid's dream to wake up with thousands of dollars in their bank account. Well that's exactly what happened to a teenager in Hull, Georgia when a man who has the same name as he, deposited 31K in his bank account. By the time the money's rightful owner figured out the money wasn't in his account, the teenager had spent 5K and withdrawn another 20K. Now the bank wants the money back, but the teenager has yet to return the money.
5. Employee Misplaced Marijuana in Wendy's Burger
Former Wendy's employee Amy Seiber, laid claim to a half smoked marijuana joint found in a customer's burger. She said that she 'misplaced' it in the burger and was promptly fired and arrested for possession of marijuana.
6. 2-Year-Old Drives Truck into House
Not this little girl! This was just a cute picture! Kathleen and George Williams reported coming home and finding their home in Grayson County ran through by a red pickup truck! Come to find out--its a two-year-old who's driven the car through their house. A neighbor across the street left the toddler in the driver's seat and they managed to put the car in reverse. The car then rolled down the street into their neighbor's house. Luckily, no one was hurt.
7. Mom Embezzles 10K in Girl Scout Cookie Funds and Uses Some for Senior Dating Service
Criminals do the weirdest things! Darlene Jo Lewis was the treasurer and co-leader for the Douglasville's Girl Scout Troop. Over the course of months Lewis embezzled $9805.42 and spent it on purchases at the grocery store, a Christian bookstore, and a senior dating website called, "Senior People Meet'. She has been arrested for her crimes.
8. Compliance Officer Breaks Into Woman's House to Serve Ticket For Overgrown Grass
Code compliance officer Jimmy Vowell was watching too much bounty hunter shows when he broke into a woman's house to serve her a ticket for her overgrown lawn. The homeowner, Erica Masters, caught the whole incident on tape. The officer broke into Master's home one early morning, and went into her room to demand that she sign the ticket. When she called 911, she was forwarded to the officer's supervisor, and he was fired from his job. However, he was not arrested for breaking and entering her home.
9. Thief Steals 400,000 toothpicks
400,000 toothpicks have gone missing from a manufacturer in Athens, GA which is worth about 3K. Two employees told the owner they saw another employee selling boxes of toothpicks at a flea market. However, authorities have yet to figure out this case!
10. Gun Toting Grandma Thwarts Robbers in Shoot-Out
This is perhaps the most interesting one on the list! Grandmother, Lulu Campbell, thwarted two robber's attempts when they held her at gunpoint demanding she give them money one Saturday morning. She was in her car, having just dropped off her grandson when the two robbers approached her. One robber shot at her and missed, and Campbell fired back striking him in the chest. The other robber fled when she began firing at him. Her truck sustained 9 bullet holes and both front side windows were busted out! Lulu Campbell is the owner of convenience stores and is always armed.
