One great thing about the Peach State is that in most areas of the state, we’re able to have outdoor fun all year round. The heat may get a little draining (and in some regions, even dangerous), but in general, we’re pretty much able to enjoy outdoor recreation at any time of year. We have a ton of amazing state parks in Georgia – throw in all our great National Historic Sites and other landmarks and you’ve got a virtually endless list of places to visit. However, you’ll be making a mistake if you ignore our city parks when making an outdoor bucket list. From splash pads to disc golf courses, we’ve got all kinds of amenities at municipal parks all over the state. One of our favorite family parks in Georgia is Alexander Park in Lawrenceville, GA.
