This small lunch shop has been praised throughout the years as having the best gyro in Atlanta, being the best kept secret, and an essential Atlanta Restaurant by Eater Magazine. Nick’s Food to Go is an Atlanta staple that you need to experience at least once in your lifetime.

This fast, casual corner restaurant is run by husband and wife duo Nick and Helen who have been serving up delicious Greek fare since 1994.

But keep in mind, this is not your average restaurant experience, so be prepared…the menu might be a bit hard to decipher at first, and do not expect to find seating inside.

Visitors to Nick’s can find a large menu on the wall filled with delicious Greek goodies, like lamb gyros, spanakopita, hummus, grilled chicken plates, and Greek salads.

Order up at the counter and wait to be called—your food is being prepared hot and fresh as soon as you order.

There are certain menu items at Nick’s that are absolutely worth the trek, including the famous Greek lasagna known as Pastitsio…

…or the gyros, which have been dubbed the best in the city three years running.

Since there is no seating inside, you’ll have to look outside, which probably provides even more epic views than you’d expect.

The artwork on the small shop’s walls changes every so often, so you’ll have a bit of an art show each time you visit.

This tiny corner food shop is an absolute must if you’ve never tried or are in love with delicious, homemade Greek food.

Even if you have to wait in line (which chances are, it's a probability) it is still worth indulging in this delicious lunchtime feast.
