Visiting Savannah, Georgia can bring about a lot of surprises, especially when it comes to history. Naturally, one of the oldest cities in the United States would have quite a few places that are left unrestored and truly magnificent. Like Alex Raskin Antiques, for example. What’s been dubbed the "last unrestored grand mansion of Savannah" is actually brimming with a bevy of antiques from yesteryear. Just wait until you see inside this three-story gem.
Alex Raskin Antiques in Savannah, Georgia is one of the last remaining unrestored mansions within the city.
But that doesn’t mean that inside, you won’t find something fascinating - wall-to-wall antiques.
Located in the Noble Hardee Mansion, this grand mansion has certainly seen better days - we’re talking peeling paint, crumbling plaster, and overall wear-and-tear.
However, history buffs and antique enthusiasts will find heaven when it comes to old furniture, classic rugs, and vintage memorabilia.
Visitors to Alex Raskin Antiques will be able to enter the store through the ground floor cellar and venture up all the way to the third floor.
Even if you aren’t in the business of buying antiques, just wandering through the halls of this old 1800s building, seeing all of the armoires, tables, rugs, and chairs is worth a trip.
While some might see it as a sort of museum of history, Alex Raskin Antiques is preserving pieces of history one antique at a time.
