There’s no greater feeling than stumbling upon a small, quaint restaurant and dubbing it a delicious hidden gem. We are constantly scouring the state to find some of the best Mom & Pop restaurants that Georgia has to offer, and we’re proud to say there are quite a few. You know the restaurants we’re talking about…they don’t advertise large scale, they don’t have a huge building, or fancy decor, or a marketing budget higher than most of our salaries. These Mom & Pop restaurants cook some of the tastiest, most unique food around. Here are a few of our favorites.

One doesn't normally equate "best BBQ around" with "that place in the Shell gas station." However, for Tipsy Pig, that's exactly what it equates to. Tipsy Pig serves up some of the most succulent, fall-off-the-bone BBQ that you can imagine, plus insanely tasty sides like Brunswick Stew and Mac 'n Cheese.

If you haven't yet given vegetarian or vegan cuisine a chance, then this should be the place where you try. Here at The Grit you have hearty, flavorful, nutrient-rich dishes that are pleasing to the palate, and won't make you miss meat once.

This small Mom & Pop shop serves up authentic Cuban food like pressed Cuban sandwiches, and tasty Spanish rice. It's a hidden gem that packs a powerful flavor punch. Try the roasted pork for an out-of-this-world experience.

Are you ready to try one of the contenders for best biscuit ever? Bruce's is a small, no frills restaurant that focuses more on flavor than anything else. Besides, you can get anything smothered in their savory gravy.
