The Amicalola River Trail in Georgia, you’ll be able to hike through the forests in Dawsonville and end up at an epic waterfront area where you can cool off in the Amicalola River. Clocking in at under 3 miles roundtrip, this hiking trail is more of a moderate hike, that climbs well into the mountains of the Dawson Wildlife Management area.
During early spring you’ll find a plethora of nature just beginning to blossom, from the butterflies fluttering about to the wildflowers starting to open.
You’ll find an abundance of trees within the area, including white oak, pin oak, hickory, black cherry, and even a few dogwoods, too, plus waterfalls that pop up along the river.
