A few reasons why College Park is ranked #1 on this list is because the property crime average of 6794.1 is nearly three times the U.S. average, while the car theft average of 1387.6 is almost seven times the U.S. average.

Home of the Habitat for Humanity’s international headquarters and the historic Windsor Hotel, people visit Americus in order to get a glimpse of the quiet life. The problem in terms of crime, however, is that Americus ranks high in property crime and larceny.

But the crime rates in certain areas are dangerously high, especially the murder rate which is almost three times the national average. According to FBI statistics, the total crime rate in Forest Park is 108 percent higher than the national average. Plus, the murder rate is almost double and the robbery rate is four times the national average.

The population in Warners Robins has grown tremendously in the past two decades, making it a popular place to settle down. Yet, the larceny rate is nearly four times the national rate and the property crime rate is nearly five times.
