It's the most timeless, beloved, decadent dessert. It makes a bad day better, a summer day more bearable, and it's even good for breakfast. Ice cream is definitely one of the greatest inventions of all time, and quite frankly, we don't celebrate it enough.
At long last, we'll get to experience an all-you-can-eat ice cream festival here in Washington. And while the event will also feature live music, games, giveaways and more, the entire point is to eat your way through it. Just beware of brain freeze.
Scooped! Ice Cream Festival is coming to Seattle on August 27th and 28th this year.
The event, which is hosted by Treadway Events & Entertainment, is the first of its kind here. There was an ice cream festival planned for 2020, but unfortunately, life had other plans that year.
The festival will be held at the iconic Seattle Center, which hosts dozens of events and festivals throughout the year.
The venue is easy to find, parking is abundant, and it should be a sunny and beautiful weekend.
Scooped! will definitely be all about the ice cream, but while you're there, you can enjoy so much more.
Listen to live music or DJ sets, order a concoction from a creative mixologist, participate in a milkshake throwdown, and bring your little ones for the kids' activities.
There will be at least 50 flavors of ice cream here, and they're all shaping up to be delicious.
If you dare to brave brain freeze, you'll be able to try every last one of them. The festival is all-you-can-eat.
Here's how it works: When you purchase your tickets, you'll choose a date (Saturday or Sunday) and a block of time.
Enter the festival at the time you registered for. After that, you'll have two hours to eat all the ice cream you can. You're welcome to stick around longer and purchase more ice cream, but that probably won't be necessary. And if you need a break from sugar after that ice cream bender, you can order a more savory lunch from one of the on-site food vendors.
Ice cream lovers, don't miss this opportunity to live your dreams.
Tickets start at $26,41 with taxes and fees, or you can pay a little extra to skip the lines.
