The Delicious Chocolate Shop in Vermont You Need to Visit for a Sweet Treat
Treat yourself to the uniquely-flavored chocolates at Tavernier Chocolates, a delicious chocolate shop in Vermont.
When was the last time you treated yourself to something decadent? While a spa treatment or a night away are fantastic ways to treat yourself, enjoying a bit of decadent chocolate from one of the best chocolate shops in Vermont is a delicious way to do so, too.
Dar Tavernier-Singer and John Singer met in San Francisco over two decades ago and eventually moved to New England. They set their roots in Brattleboro, VT, where Tavernier Chocolates was born.
Dar started making chocolate as gifts, and it naturally progressed into a business. Starting out at local farmers markets, she and John eventually moved their chocolate-making operation to the historic Brooks House on Main Street in Brattleboro.
Walking into the store, you'll first notice how stunning it is. With earth tones and wood, it offers a cozy ambiance that's not typical in a standard chocolate shop. Throughout the store, you'll find an array of chocolate bars and tablets, along with a case of truffles and bonbons that are so beautifully crafted you'll think they're works of art.
Quite a bit of artistry goes into making each chocolate bar, tablet, truffle, bonbon, and sipping chocolate. Ingredients are sourced from local farms and herbalists and through direct trade. The chocolate creations with unique flavors are handcrafted in small batches, and each bar piece is decorated by hand with items that enhance the flavors of the chocolate. From rose petals and lavender blossoms to dried berries and wood-fired sugar maple, Tavernier Chocolates promises each bite is a divine experience.
If you want to treat yourself to something incredibly unique and decadent, you must stop at Tavernier Chocolates, one of the best chocolate shops in Vermont. Between the flavors and the artistry, there's no other chocolate shop like it anywhere else in the state. You can order online if you can't make it to Tavernier Chocolates. I also find the website incredibly helpful as it tells you what beer, wine, or other accoutrements a particular chocolate bar pairs well with.
Traveling to Brattleboro to explore the town and all it has to offer? If you plan to spend the night, book a stay at the Inn on Putney Road, an exceptional B&B with a lounge area and spa services.
