When it comes to pizza, you may think that Chicago or New York is going to pull one over on the rest of the country - not true, guys. Not true. Nashville pizza has been recognized nationally MULTIPLE times, so you'll see it a bit on our list, but we've also found some diamonds scattered along the back roads of 'ol Rocky Top. We think all Tennessee pies are #1, so here they all are: in no particular order, of course. Unless you have one you think is best...?

12) 312 Pizza - Nashville

Grab some Chicago deep dish right in the heart of Middle Tennessee. The establishment boasts a light drenched dining room and impressive refreshment spread sooo - sign us up twice.

11) Tennessee River Pizza Company - Pickwick Dam

Serving up more than just great service, here you can get the tastiest pizza in Pickwick and try their extra crispy thin crust. That sounds like a neat experience to us!

10) Brooklyn Pizzeria - Newport

Again, Tennessee is rockin' out on the state-to-state front. Grab a slice of NY pie in Newport, where you can feed the entire family something they'll adore.

9) Community Pie - Chattanooga

It's not all vegetarian fare out here in Chattanooga - grab a top rated pizza at Community Pie. But, don't think this eatery just sticks to the normal cheese and crust. We've heard their meatballs are to die for!

8) DeSano Pizza Bakery - Nashville

Oh, hey there Nashville. We haven't seen you on this list before. DeSano's is open from eleven am 'til whenever the dough runs out (or ten at night. Either or.) Wood-burning ovens and the BYOB policy makes this a fun experience AND great place for a slice.

7) Olive Pit - Paris

Paris, Tennessee may not be the same as it's counterpart in France, but the pizza rivals Italy. Okay, okay - too much globetrotting. It's a pizza AND pasta house, so pepperoni and meatballs are a definite must.

6) Nona Lisa - Watertown

This pizzeria is worth the long drive out into the country PLUS they make their own gelato. Pizza and ice cream? It's like all our childhood fantasies just exploded.

5) Five Points

Try the Bianca pizza and the garlic knots at this East Nashville joint. The vodka sauce always comes out on top, plus? They'll split your pie in half so compromise is a win.

4) Aldo's Pizza Pie - Memphis

Memphis ain't just known for bbq, y'all. Aldo's serves New York style pizza and will throw you out on the patio during good weather. You can also order from their deli side of the menu and grab a beer while you're at it.

3) Lupi's - Chattanooga

If you're looking for a cute spot with a fun atmosphere, Lupi's is your place of places. This is a great spot for both kids and adults!

2) Rock 'N Dough - Memphis

Don't you just want to go because of the name? Here's Memphis, rounding out another spot on our list . The slices are huge, the beer home brewed, and you can even get a burger if you aren't in the mood. #winning (Yes, we just used an unnecessary hashtag.)

1) Bella Napoli - Nashville

Bella Napoli has actually been named the best pizza in TENNESSEE multiple, multiple times. And it's a little hole in the wall tucked in the heart of Music City. Perfect first date fodder, if we do say so ourselves.
