Alpine Inn has been an icon in Hill City for decades. Three generations of family members have owned and operated this inn and restaurant throughout the years.
You'll find it at 133 Main Street, Hill City.
There is pretty much always a wait for a table here. It's busy...but it's well worth the wait.
You'll love the decor here. The restaurant still has its original tin ceiling from the late 1800s, and there are little German touches throughout.
For lunch, try the German Plate.
It includes a fresh bratwurst, German potato salad, sauerkraut, red cabbage and bread.
The Schnitzel is breaded pork served with German potatoes, sauerkraut and red cabbage.
You won't want to miss out on the Kaes Spaetzle - a traditional German dish.
The filet mignon is cooked to perfection and served with a lettuce wedge salad, baked potato and toast.
You definitely want some dessert after your meal. The apple cheese strudel and bread pudding are both to die for.
The bar offers a large selection of liquor and German beers to accompany your meal.
Dine at Alpine Inn for lunch from 11 AM to 2:30 PM. Dinner is served from 5 PM to 9:30 PM. Open Monday through Saturday; Closed Sunday.
