Cozy Up In An Igloo Overlooking The Water At This Rhode Island Restaurant
When winter in Rhode Island rolls around, life becomes quieter. The tourists have gone home, and seasonal businesses have shuttered until the spring. We go from soaking up the sun on a crowded beach to strolling along an empty shore. Winter brings with it both quiet and some uniquely enchanting opportunities, like the chance to dine in an igloo. Look out over Narragansett Bay as you indulge in a delicious meal, all from a private igloo at this waterfront restaurant in Narragansett, Rhode Island, this winter.
Boasting some of the most sensational views of Narragansett Bay all year round, The Coast Guard House ups its game during the colder months.
While you'll be treated to awe-inspiring views indoors, you might want to book one of the restaurant's seasonal igloos for a one-of-a-kind winter experience.
Each private igloo, which seats up to eight guests, features a cozy fireplace and is custom-designed. And the views? Well, you really have to see them to appreciate them.
Igloos are available for three seatings each day through April 29, 2024.
Because they sell out quickly, book your igloo early. You'll pay a $100 rental fee, which covers three hours, and each member of the party is asked to spend at least $25 each on their food and drinks.
Speaking of food and drinks, you'll find plenty of seafood favorites on the menu. How about sinking your teeth into a classic lobster roll?
You can never go wrong with an Angus burger, salmon ciabatta, or eggplant ciabatta. Each handheld comes with fries.
Savor every bite of an entree - filet mignon, lobster mac and cheese, or swordfish.
Since you've got plenty of time in the igloo, save some room for dessert. From flourless chocolate cake and cheesecake to banana bread pudding and ice cream, the dessert menu offers something for every taste.
