This Classic Portland Bakery Is Known For Its Bread But Its Peanut Butter Cookie Is The Best In Town
Wondering where to find the best peanut butter cookies in Oregon? Look no further than Portland's Grand Central Bakery. This delicious place to eat is well-known in Portland for its delicious bread, sandwiches, and pastries, but this local Pacific Northwest chain has a killer peanut butter cookie, too. And if you're like me, it's all about the cookies!
Grand Central Bakery has eight friendly bakery locations in the Portland Metro area, as well as four more in Seattle.
This bakery gets the peanut butter cookie just right: chewy, dense, moist, with the perfect peanut flavor—and dusted with sugar.
You also can't go wrong with their chocolate chip, shortbread, or ginger molasses cookies.
There is ample space to eat in each bakery cafe or take your order to go.
In addition to yummy cookies, you'll find pastries like scones, croissants, and muffins.
While the cookies and other baked goods are amazing, don't miss out on Grand Central Bakery's outstanding sandwiches. My favorites are The Turkey Deluxe and Happy Goat—but you can't go wrong!
Grand Central Bakery is also well known for its delectable soups, such as Cream of Tomato.
You'll also find a number of frozen U-Bake items you can take home with you, including cookie and pie dough.
And of course, don't forget to sample the bakery's wonderful breads!
For more information or to view the menu, check out the Grand Central Bakery website. If your visit to Portland is part of a road trip, you may want to stock up on car-friendly snacks for the drive there—but be sure to stock up on pastries, sandwiches, bread, and cookies to take home for the return trip!
If you visit Grand Central Bakery, be sure to leave a comment to let us know what you think. Also, if you know of other hidden gem spots in Oregon where you can buy delicious peanut butter cookies, we'd love to hear about those too!
