For some of the best sandwiches on the planet, head to The Baked Bear. They have three locations in Oklahoma: Norman, Edmond, and Yukon. They started in San Diego, California, and have expanded to other states over the years. And, boy are we happy that they did. Their ice cream sandwich creations are seriously out of this world delicious. Keep scrolling to see what we are talking about.
With three locations to choose from in the Oklahoma City area, there is a location near the majority of the population in the state. All locations are open Sunday - Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday - Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
The ice cream sandwiches are homemade from original recipes and hand-scooped on site. Their cookies are made with the highest quality ingredients and baked from scratch daily.
The red velvet cookies with Bear Batter ice cream is a winning combo. They even have toppings that you can add on top.
You can pick pretty much any creation you want. Choose your cookie flavor then move over to the ice cream flavors and add your favorite. Want your cookie hot pressed? If so, they will warm up your cookies.
You can even ask for a split scoop with two of your favorite ice cream flavors. Pictured here is red velvet + white macadamia cookies with dark chocolate and vanilla ice cream.
The menu also offers other items like root beer floats, brownies, sundaes, and more.
Another favorite is the Bear Bowl: a warm chocolate chip cookie with your choice of ice cream and topping.

If you can't make it to The Baked Bear, there is another ice cream shop in northeastern Oklahoma you'll want to try. Rose Rock Microcreamery is a tiny ice cream shop at the Boxyard in Tulsa that creates homemade ice cream to die for. It was recently voted the best ice cream in the state and we couldn't agree more.
