Located in Gretna, Salvo’s Seafood Restaurant & Market has been a tradition for many in the Greater New Orleans area since they opened back in 1984.

The tiny but mighty rustic restaurant hasn’t changed much over the years. When you step inside this rustic little eatery, you’ll feel like one of the family.

Just be sure to come hungry.

The menu offers a wide array of items varying from hearty gumbo to finger-licking good ribs.

And of course, some truly delicious over-stuffed po’boys.

One of their most popular specials happens after 5 p.m. when you can feast on all-you-can-eat seafood specials.

The special is different every night, but you can always count on all you can eat boiled seafood or fried seafood Tuesday-Thursday and Saturday, too.

On Tuesdays, get your fill on endless fried shrimp, French fries, hush puppies, Cole sale and potato salad.

Wednesdays are for fried catfish, and boy do they deliver.

Thursdays you can feast on fried frog legs and shrimp with all the sides. And on Saturdays, you can enjoy the best of both worlds with all-you-can-eat fried catfish and fried shrimp. Yum!
