Editor's Note: Since the publication of this article, Suji's Korean Grill has permanently closed.

Korean Barbecue - known lovingly as KBBQ to devotees - is a popular type of dining in large cities all over the country. It's a concept that may seem a little odd at first, but once you get a taste of the all-you-can-eat KBBQ at this Omaha restaurant, it might become a new favorite.

Suji's Korean Grill is located at 1303 S 72 St in Omaha.

The restaurant opened in 2016, and although it's not the first Korean restaurant on the Omaha dining scene, it is the first to offer all-you-can-eat KBBQ. Pay just one price and eat all of the delicious meat you want - but this is unlike the BBQ you'll find at any American-cuisine restaurant.

When you order the endless meats option at Suji's, you get a plate of several types of raw meats along with some sauces, rice, lettuce leaves, and banchan (side dishes).

On the endless meats menu: chicken breast, pork belly, pork jowl, and three types of beef. After the meat arrives, the fun begins: you cook your own food right there on the grill built into your table.

It might sound like an unusual concept, but trust us - it's delightful.

Cooking the food yourself is a unique experience that also serves as dinner entertainment. The communal nature of the meal (there's a two-person minimum for endless meat) inspires fun conversation. This is the perfect option for an unconventional celebratory meal or memorable date.

Be sure to show up hungry if you're interested in enjoying this unusual treat.

The endless meat meal is $35 per guest over the age of 11 ($17 for ages 4-11), so you'll want to make sure you get your money's worth. Unlike most all-you-can-eat restaurants, you won't just get plate after plate heaped with food; you get a new plate full of raw meats after you finish the previous one.

Even if you aren't interested in cooking your own endless meats, Suji's has plenty of other options.

Go for perennial favorites like bibim-bap, japchae, or bulgogi. There are even plenty of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu - try the insanely tasty fried cauliflower for a special treat. You can also order a Korean BBQ meal that's not endless.

If you're interested in the all-you-can-eat KBBQ meat option, be aware that it's an all or nothing proposition - everyone over age 11 at the table has to order it, and you can't take home any leftovers.

Take a look at the menu on the restaurant's website and keep up with news and events on their Facebook page. Stop in at 1303 S 72 St, Omaha between 11am and 10pm seven days a week.
