Murray’s Is An Old-School Steakhouse In Minnesota That Hasn’t Changed In Decades

Murray's Steakhouse in Minnesota offers a classic dining experience with high-quality steaks, live music, and historic charm.

Have you been craving steak with a side of that classic restaurant experience? Though everything can't always remain the same, the core values and concept of high-quality food and service have remained the same this whole time. With every hurdle, this old-school steakhouse in Minnesota has remained a rock.

No matter where you are in Minnesota, there's a good chance you have heard of a steakhouse named Murray's.

Founded by Art and Marie Murray in 1946, this restaurant has seen its fair share of famous patrons. With live music and dancing alongside amazing meal options, there's no question of why it was an instant hit.

Today, the restaurant still serves plenty of steaks, but rotating seafood options and smaller plates have been added to serve today's customers. You can even order a flight of steak, just to try different cuts cooked the Murray's way.

The steaks are a huge draw for customers of all kinds, but you can't visit without also trying the famous garlic toast. Made with the original recipe Marie Murray herself used when the restaurant was founded, the results speak for themselves. As many have said over the years, if it isn't broke, don't fix it!

As you might notice, the building proudly displays itself as the home of a "Silver Butter Knife" steak. Murray's 28-ounce strip sirloin received this award in 1951 and has sold many a steak since. With plenty of locally sourced ingredients and food made fresh, the recipe for Murray's success is written right in the book in Marie's handwriting.

Even if you usually dine at casual restaurants, an experience at Murray's is a must-try. Dress up a little nicer, and come sample a steak and garlic toast for an amazing evening experience. Don't forget dessert!

Classic Minnesota restaurants are always a great reason to travel or try new things. You can have another classic restaurant experience at Jax Cafe, one of the oldest restaurants in Minnesota.
