The Great Lake State has some famous restaurants worth visiting but none quite as iconic as this new alley eatery. If you’re in the mood for comforting homemade spaghetti, you have to visit Eminem’s restaurant in Detroit, Michigan. While seeing the real Slim Shady in concert might be a once-in-a-lifetime, you can get a taste of his childhood at this kitschy spot whenever you’re in Motor City.
Opened in 2021, Mom’s Spaghetti is located in an alleyway in the heart of downtown Detroit and is a must-visit for a hit of nostalgia.
Marshall Bruce Mathers III, otherwise known as Eminem, might be the most iconic modern-day celebrity to come from Detroit. He has always been proud of his Detroit roots, so much so that he opened his own restaurant to serve his favorite childhood food.
There is a kitsch charm about the location as you stand in line outside to place your order.
Marshall Mathers was even there on the opening day serving customers himself!
You should expect delicious and hearty homemade spaghetti just like your Mom or Grandma used to make.
This isn’t fancy food with little portions. Instead, there are filling and large portions that you can take home as leftovers.
There are tables inside to enjoy your meal along with a replica trailer of Eminem’s humble childhood home.
The Trailer is complete with retro wood paneling and green carpet. You can step into Slim Shady’s memories while you browse the merchandise along with cool photos and memorabilia. Every hip-hop fan and spaghetti lover needs to experience Mom’s Spaghetti at least once.
