The Alinosi family immigrated from Italy and first opened an ice cream parlor and bakery in 1921. That one shop quickly blossomed into seven franchised parlors throughout the Detroit area. Over the last 100 years, most of the locations have closed, but one parlor remains.

That single parlor is still open today and proudly serves the Detroit community with heavenly baked goods in their colorful vintage cafe.

The Chocolate Bar likes to keep it local by serving Detroit-made Guernsey Farms Ice Cream. You can order many vintage ice cream desserts such as the banana split, the Hawaiian dream, or an old-fashioned pineapple soda.
