The Tiny Shop In Maine That Serves Homemade Ice Cream To Die For
Toots Ice Cream in North Yarmouth offers homemade ice cream in a unique train car setting on a working family farm.
Spring may only be just arriving, but all this warming of temperatures has us dreaming of the things we'll do this summer. First on that list is homemade Maine ice cream! There are a lot of places to find it, from Skowhegan (you know which one I'm talking about!) to South Portland. But, we think Toots Ice Cream in North Yarmouth is pretty great!
One of the coolest things about Toot's Ice Cream is that it's located inside a tiny train car!
While they've been making their own ice cream since 2002, they've been open for business since 1998.
Because the ice cream is all made here, it's creamy and perfect!
The freshest ingredients are used and it's made constantly - so it's always fresh. Even better, Toots is located on a working family farm. Nothing like getting the ingredients right in your back yard!
The flavors are made unique, without being off-the-wall.
Expect to see your old favorites this summer, along with the new ones we've all come to look forward to each season.
While we love the simple ice cream cones, you can get much more here at Toots!
We recommend the Whoopie Cow Pie ice cream flavor made out of these!
They've even found a way to make the cone more interesting.
We thought that was worth a closer look - behold!
If you have animal lovers or young ones along with you, they'll love the animals on the farm that are here to be loved.
But, Toots is so charming it's worth it just to get a simple cone and bask in the Maine summer sun.
*please wear sunscreen!
