This charming ice cream store has a wonderful vintage theme that'll transport you back to the '50s where you can enjoy some of the best ice cream in the state. Sweetport has been handing out delicious ice cream since 2016.

Originally, Sweetport began as a mobile ice cream store and catering service, operating out of a vintage 1950s van named Sweetie. This van became rather iconic in the area and could be spotted at all the major events across Shreveport-Bossier City.

In 2020, Sweetport opened up its first brick-and-mortar, giving the old Sweetie van a break for a bit.

Don’t worry, the van still operates and gets taken out every so often, just not as frequently.

When it comes to ice cream, Sweetport might just have some of the best homemade ice cream in Louisiana.

But there's more than ice cream here at Sweetport! You'll have a wide range of sweet snacks you'll want to sink your teeth into, like these oatmeal cookies pictured below.
