Welcome to Honeydoux Cafe, a charming, locally-owned and operated bakery and cafe in Destrehan.

Chef and owner Katie Marie Hymel grew up in the kitchen watching her grandparents cook and watching culinary television shows, knowing from an early age that this is what she wanted to do. After studying at Chef John Folse Culinary Institute at Nicholls State University, she opened Honeydoux in Destrehan and began making her dream a reality.

The tiny but mighty eatery is both a cafe and a bakery, serving up both sweet and savory concoctions.

It’s a favorite morning-stop for locals looking to fuel up with one of the many coffee and pastry selections...

...but Honeydoux also offers breakfast and lunch options, too.

Pressed sandwiches, soups, and salads graze the menu here, with each option looking more delicious than the next.

Of course, you’ll want to treat yourself to one of the pastries that are made fresh daily.

Every morning the display case is stocked with freshly made sweets including muffins, scones, croissants, and cookies to tempt you.

Swing by and give Honeydoux a try! Visit the Honeydoux Cafe website for a full menu, and be sure to follow Honeydoux Cafe on Facebook so you never miss out on any specialty creations. If you want to spend a few days exploring Destrehan and the surrounding area, this charming cottage is perfect!
