The One Mexican Restaurant In Kansas With Surprisingly Delicious Burgers

When you think of dishes to order at a Mexican restaurant in Kansas, it's pretty unlikely your mind goes straight to burgers. Burgers are delicious, don't get us wrong, and there are plenty of options for amazing burgers in the Sunflower State, but they're also pretty solidly American and not something you'd expect to find good examples of in a place that specializes in tacos, quesadillas, and burritos. However, there are some Mexican restaurants that have excellent burgers, and one of our favorites is Cancun Mexican Grill in Ellis and Hays. Both locations feature amazing traditional Mexican dishes, but also some surprisingly delicious burgers!

You don't have to worry about forgetting which location you're in! Both the Hays and Ellis restaurants have the city's name in large, colorful letters outside.

The inside of each restaurant is decorated in bright decor that feels like the quintessential Mexican restaurant.

Open the menu and you'll be met with an array of traditional Mexican delights, like burritos, beans, nachos, and quesadillas.

There are fillings here to satisfy any appetite, including chicken, steak, beef, chorizo, and shrimp, plus vegetable offerings and beans.

Don't skip the section of the menu towards the back, though! The section of American favorites includes surprisingly delicious takes on dishes like hamburgers.

Whether you opt for the traditional Mexican dishes or go with something a little more off-the-wall like a hamburger, your meal is sure to be tasty.
