Highlighting ten must-visit restaurants in small Kansas towns that are worth the drive.
We all know Kansans are serious about where they eat. These restaurants might be way out in the boonies for some of us, but they're worth the drive. Maybe these restaurants are right down the street, but for those of us who live in the bigger cities, they're a ways away!
1. Wheatland Cafe - 112 N Main St Hudson, KS
Who doesn't love fried chicken? The Wheatland Cafe apparently also has a strawberry dessert to die for!
2. Big Ed's Steakhouse - 104 W. Bressler Bird City, KS
Delicious and hearty meals definitely attract tastebuds! Those steaks look oh so tender, don't they?
3. Blazers Restaurant - 131 N. Center St. Gardner, KS
Mmm, I can almost smell the meat from here.
4. Olpe Chicken House -
8 E Hwy-99 Olpe, KS
That dessert looks simply delightful! It should taste wonderful after a plate full of fried chicken!
5. Buzz Cafe' - 820 Main St. Sabetha, KS
This place looks like a buffet heaven. Everything I love about family gatherings!
6. Carolyn's Essenhaus - 104 E. Main Arlington, KS

8. Breadbasket - 219 N. Main Newton, KS
Fresh baked bread and all the wonderful things about sandwiches you could wish for. Why not call this one a winner?
9. Saddlerock Cafe - 15 S. 6th St. Council Grove, KS

10. Oscar's - 845 Main St. Hoxie, KS
I don't have to even know the titles of these dishes to know they're going to taste great. Just look at it!
I've been reading your comments and taking notes -- and these are some of the best restaurants worth driving to! A funny way to tell they're probably in a small town is the address. Main Street is a common address for everything when it's a small Kansas town!
