The restaurant itself – Shorty’s Steakhouse, in Garrett, Indiana – isn’t even terribly large; it’s an intimate, small little place that’s sure to leave you not just stuffed but incredibly pleased with your meal, too. Shorty's isn't a gigantic place; it's definitely the epitome of a "hole in the wall", but we strongly believe that this only adds to its charm.

Inside, it's warm and cozy, the perfect place to unbutton the top button on your jeans and prepare to eat yourself silly.

And trust us, you'll want to - there's not a single thing on the menu we think you won't like. Everything is masterfully prepared, and it's obvious from the first bite why Shorty's is THE place to be on a Friday night in small-town Indiana.

If you had to ask us to describe the steaks at Shorty's in three words, we'd probably say something like juicy, savory, and robust. We're a bit of a steak snob ourselves, so when we say Shorty's delivers when it comes to the perfect filet, we absolutely mean it.

Currently, the restaurant is open every day for dinner, but the hours may vary, so be sure to check the website and Facebook page below for any changes in the hours of operation.

Because Shorty's is such a popular, must-visit local restaurant, reservations are strongly recommended to ensure you get a table.

If you would like a light meal, we recommend dishes that blew us away like the Alaskan salmon or a 6-ounce filet mignon.

But if you're hungry, then opt for a larger portion (definitely the "unbutton that top button" type of large). They include cooked-to-perfection crown jewels like the pasta primavera, the 12-ounce ribeye, ahi tuna, jumbo shrimp, and SO much more.

The drinks menu is also not to be missed - heck, nothing here is to be missed.
