Tenderloin Tuesdays Is Indiana’s Most Delicious Annual Summer Food Tradition

When it comes to famous foods from Indiana, the breaded tenderloin—specifically, the breaded tenderloin sandwich—is king. There are hundreds of amazing places to get breaded tenderloin in Indiana, and there's no better time to taste-test them all than during the month of July, when Tenderloin Tuesdays return to Hamilton County with a delicious vengeance. During the hot summer month, more than 60 Hoosier State restaurants participate in the nosh event of the year, welcoming locals and visitors alike to come hungry and leave satisfied.

Pork tenderloin is a delicious, juicy meat beloved by many. Part of its allure is just how many ways it can be prepared(all of which are delicious). Of course, we here in the Hoosier State prefer ours in a very specific way: larger-than-life and bigger than the bun. Heck, some places will even try to give you two buns!

The unofficial food of Indiana, pork tenderloin is nothing short of mouth-watering. If you haven't yet tasted the crispy deliciousness, you'll be glad to know that Tenderloin Tuesdays take place every week of July, offering plenty of opportunities to savor the dish.
