If you want a southern styled meal but you don't live anywhere close to Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room, check this place out for Thanksgiving dinner. It's family styled eating where you can sit communal style around a table laid with all your southern favorites. This would be the perfect restaurant to take a big family to for Thanksgiving dinner. If you can't make it for Thanksgiving, on Sundays, they have all-you-can eat southern lunch served family style. It's perfect for an after-church dinner.

4. Greenwoods on Green Street - 1087 Green St

This little restaurant is right around down the street from my house, and whenever I pass by it, there's always some good smells wafting from its doors! They have all your southern favorites; meatloaf sandwiches, fried green tomatoes, platters of fried chicken, and tasty corn bread!

5. Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room- 107 W Jones St

Savannah, GA 31401

Of course this wouldn't be a complete list without Mrs. Wilkes on it! They are definitely open for Thanksgiving, but if you haven't already made a reservation, it may be difficult for you to get a seat. It may be worth it to stand up and eat if it means being able to snag a bowl of their banana pudding!

Last but certainly not least is Minnie's Uptown Restaurant. They serve southern favorites cafeteria style. They have nearly 5 stars on Yelp and Google and one reviewer even said, "Best Fried Chicken I've had in Columbus, period." It doesn't get much better than that folks! If you're in the Columbus area and don't have plans for Thanksgiving, give this place a chance!
