The Ohio Chinese Lantern Festival takes place every year at the Ohio Expo Center & State Fairgrounds, located at 717 E 17th Ave., Columbus, OH 43211. This year's celebration will be on display from November 17th until January 7th, 2018. Grab your friends and head to this beautiful festival!

The Ohio Chinese Lantern Festival features incredible handcrafted light sculptures and authentic performances. This wonderful cultural experience is presented by Tianyu Arts & Culture, Inc.

There will be 39 new larger-than-life light sculptures on view at the festival. The illuminations are crafted by Chinese artisans who hail from Zigong, Sichuan, home of this ancient art.

The lanterns will include color changing dinosaurs and the 200-foot long Chinese dragon.

Included in the festival admission ticket are nightly performances. These performances will feature traditional Chinese acts including jar balancing, kicking bowls on a rolling board, Chinese face-changing, martial arts, and umbrella juggling.

You will also see traditional Chinese handicrafts in the making. This year handicraft demonstrations include inner bottle painting and a special calligraphy painting gallery.

The festival will also have traditional Chinese fair food and beverages.

Tickets can be purchased online or the door. The cost is $15 for adults, $10 for children 17 and under, and $12 for seniors.

You can find tickets and more information on this website.

The festival is open nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. You will find easy parking at the Fairgrounds parking lot.
