Yes, reading Florida’s news can really get you down (please don’t start now if you’re having a good day), but unlike the news media, we like to see the good in people and places. So don’t hide your head in the sand, there are many reasons to be proud to live in the land of sunshine!
Without Florida, there would be no Disney magic at all.

Fern Hammock Springs in Ocala National Forest is only a little over an hour away from Disney. It's at least as magical, and we have lots of parks this beautiful.

We even have a state park with mermaids, Weeki Wachee.
Maybe it's because we have the Fountain of Youth here?

The perfect cure-all, whether your sick or hungover. Oh yeah, and great for athletes, too.
