1. The Old Jail

The Old Jail in St. Augustine is where we’re kicking off this spooky day trip, and it’s the perfect place to do so. Opened in 1891, the Old Jail housed the worst of the worst and became a place that even those without remorse didn’t want to be. What’s been dubbed one of the most haunted places in the country is apparently home to those vengeful spirits who are angry over their unfair treatment. 2. The Huguenot Cemetery

The Huguenot Cemetery in St. Augustine, Florida was the only public burying ground back in the early 1800s when bodies began to literally pile in the streets. From yellow fever to deadly bar brawls, this burying ground eventually became the final resting place for many residents and visitors. However, with such death comes paranormal activity. 3. Castillo de San Marcos National Monument

Castillo de San Marcos National Monument is the oldest masonry fort in the continental U.S. It also is one of the most haunted places in St. Augustine. 6. St. Augustine Lighthouse
