The Story Behind This Haunted Penitentiary In Wyoming Is Beyond Spooky

Prisons aren't the most pleasant places to visit, whether they're haunted or not, but this penitentiary in Wyoming is particularly disturbing. Apparently, this prison is plagued by quite a few restless spirits. There's a lot of dark history within these walls.

The Old Wyoming State Penitentiary is located in Rawlins. It has gone from being a tourist attraction to a historic site to a place of paranormal activity.

Tour groups have often reported hearing strange voices in the cells, seeing people disappear and feeling the presence of hostile spirits.

Not only have members of tour groups experienced these things but employees have also reported seeing apparitions and hearing strange noises.

Old Pen was recently visited by a group of paranormal experts and they found quite a lot of activity going on here.

Hotbeds of activity were found around the showers, death row, the gas chamber, the isolation area, certain cells, the chapel and the women's facility.
