The Remnants Of This Once Popular Wisconsin Amusement Park Are Terribly Creepy

Fort Dells was a popular amusement park in Wisconsin Dells that operated from 1959 to 1985 and is now abandoned.

Fort Dells was Wisconsin’s answer to Disney’s “Frontierland.” The park opened in June of 1959 and was a pretty big hit until it closed in 1985. There were rides and other attractions, but the park is most remembered for its interaction with guests. This was a park that generations bonded over, and it is looked upon with great nostalgia. Since it was closed in 1997, the park has been completely demolished. So, what was once filled with laughing children is now a dormant, abandoned place. And it’s kinda creepy to see. Let’s step back in time and reminisce about this abandoned Wisconsin Dells amusement park – both pre- and post-closure

1. Fort Dells was the premier attraction in Wisconsin Dells after the Ducks.

2. This sign once commemorated the park and welcomed folks from all walks of life.

3. It used to be bustling.

4. There was all sorts of entertainment.

5. This was the haunted house.

6. And this was the railroad ride.

7. And this was what remained of the rides many years ago.

8. Also, here is what remained of the tracks.

9. I wouldn't have recommended going into this shed.

10. Or going into this cave.

11. Sadly, this tombstone summarized the life of Fort Dells.
