Located in Highland County is something of a hidden gem: the Mill Run Suspended Bridge.

It's tucked away in the Highland Wildlife Management Area and draws visitors near and far for its fishing, swimming, and beautiful views.

The main feature is, of course, the suspended bridge. While in operation, visitors note that it feels very rickety. Fortunately, it's not too far from the ground.

When the weather is warm enough, the Bull Pasture River is great for wading or fishing. Visitors should note that camping is no longer permitted in the area, unfortunately.

If you visit in the winter, you'll be impressed with the color of the water. It takes on an almost emerald quality that's hard to describe.

Some visitors have also noted that bees live on the bridge, so be careful not to jump or move across the bridge in a rough manner.
